Welcome to the Home of the 4th Indian Division Living History group.
During World War Two the men of this Division fought 9 campaigns, travelled more than 15,000 miles, suffered over 25,000 casualties and captured upwards of 150,000 prisoners, Montgomery was to say '4th Indian and 7th armoured were my best two divisions'.
It is hoped that through this web site and through our displays that we may bring back to life this great Division that has now been consigned to forgotten chapters in forgotten history books.
The Division had a ratio of 1 British to 3 Indian Soldiers, they fought together overseas enduring hardship as one Division.
